GWNN Newsletter welcomes all information from area groups about their gatherings and special events. While it would be very time and space consuming to detail every single group every month, we will gladly list your special events and parties and include web pages and links so that interested persons can find out more.

Munches are open to anyone – over the age of 18 – who has an interest in learning more about the kinky side of Austin and Central Texas. You can meet lots of other fun and interesting folks and get the 411 on all sorts of groups and events. Please remember – don’t scare the vanillas – family friendly clothing please.

We meet in the back room, which does have it’s own entrance with a ramp. Place your food orders at the bar and a server will bring your food in to you. Please remember to tip!

Artz is centrally located on South Lamar, about 2 miles south of Lady Bird Lake (Town Lake). Street clothes are the appropriate attire for this event. If the front parking lot looks full, go around the back.

Don’t forget that party tickets for May can be purchased in advance at the munch for the reduced rate of only $ 15.00.

Supporting GWNN by purchasing party tickets helps with the July Birthday Celebration funds.

MAY MUNCH – Something Different

From Bydarra

A representative from a local Adult Store chain will be joining us at the May munch.

Originally I contacted him (among others) about participating in the Bash. His response led to a discussion of toys at adult stores and how they could have things that were more appealing to our community. That led to my inviting him to the munch so you and he could meet to discuss the possibilities.

Board Meetings

Remember the general GWNN BOD meetings are always open to members. Your board is here to serve your interests and continually move GWNN in a direction that is what you, the members, want.

The GWNN 17th Birthday Celebration is coming up soon and the board is busily planning the event, but they need your help. Please come to the board meeting, listen and add your ideas and opinions.

Come to a board meeting and let us know how we’re doing. The board meets in the same location as the munch on the same day, at 5:00 p.m.

Other things to remember about parties …

When making your plans to attend a GWNN party, please don’t forget about the need for volunteers. GWNN can always use folks willing to DM – it’s the ultimate in voyeurism … wander around looking official with a glowy arm band or a stylish orange vest. Each hour shift is compensated by $5 off your ticket. Not to mention the exalted status among your peers.

In all seriousness we need more DM’s that know the job, and know what to look for. DM classes being held soon for those interested. Help keep everyone safe and happy. You can also volunteer to help construct/destruct the party space, be a greeter at the door or spend some time making sure things are OK in the parking lot.

Be sure and keep the date of June 18th open to attend the Fundraiser for Master Obsidian and slave namaste

Master Obsidian and namaste recently won the Leather Title of International Master and slave2010 at South Plains. This position requires a great deal of traveling and speaking at various events, at their own expense. They are not allowed to accept any sort of payment for speaking, but they may accept donations to their travel fund. There will be a fundraiser in June to raise funds to help defray some of their traveling costs. (More details on the fundraiser to follow – but go ahead and mark your calendar for Friday June 18th – because it will be an event you won't want to miss!)

There will be a raffle and all sorts of donations are needed. We would love to gather toys from local crafters, as well as donations of unused or very gently used and clean toys; good bottles of wine, cheese and chocolate; new boot blacking and foot pampering items; perhaps things appropriate for pony/puppy/kitty play baskets or age play basket. Of course if you would like to donate cash to be spent on other items, that is always good as well. Check lists for more information and contact.

Newsletter help

This is the 9th newsletter that has been published in the current run. I would enjoy getting some help. There’s not really a lot of hard work, but having someone to get “interviews” via email from local groups and find interesting and fun tidbits would be a great help!

Also just keeping me reminded of the date we need to get the newsletter out would be a huge help!!!!
